Parent & Student Information Night

The St. Louis Centers for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) will hold an informational session for parents and students considering enrolling in courses next school year. Attendees will hear from St. Louis CAPS staff and students.

The event will include a panel discussion with current St. Louis CAPS students as well as former graduates currently in college. St. Louis CAPS provides juniors and seniors the opportunity to fast-forward beyond college and test-drive their future in high-skill, high-demand professions.

St. Louis CAPS is part of the National CAPS Network that spans 19 states and 120+ school districts. There are currently 9 high schools that comprise the St. Louis CAPS partnership: Affton, Bayless, Fox, Hancock Place, Kirkwood, Lindbergh, Mehlville, Oakville, and Seckman.

St. Louis CAPS offers courses eligible for high school credit, college credit, and college scholarships. Each course is offered during the school day and immerses students in the real-world for an entire school year. All course experiences occur outside the walls of a traditional high school classroom. Students will learn directly from business and industry professionals through completing projects, job shadows, and internships in spaces such hospitals, business incubators, research labs, engineering facilities, technology companies, and college campuses.
