St. Louis CAPS Invited to Participate in Missouri Chamber of Commerce Workforce 2030 Conference Panel Discussion

On October 16, 2018 Dr. Travis Bracht, superintendent of the Affton School District, was invited to participate on behalf of St. Louis CAPS in a panel discussion at the Missouri Chamber of Commerce Workforce 2030 Conference. The title of the session was Bridging Education and Business Through CAPS. Dr. Bracht was joined on the panel by the program directors of Northland CAPS in Kansas City and Greater Ozarks CAPS in Springfield.

The state of Missouri has quickly emerged as a leader in CAPS programming. The St. Louis, Northland, and Greater Ozarks programs are similar in that they operate as multi-district partnerships. These three programs were among the first to form in Missouri and across the nation. Each program offers similar courses that target global business, entrepreneurship, engineering, advanced manufacturing, medicine, health care, and technology solutions.

Each summer these three programs work collaboratively to coordinate an annual summer professional development workshop for CAPS instructors and directors. In August 2019, St. Louis CAPS will host the workshop at Downtown T-REX.
