St. Louis CAPS Student Associates Work With Affton Chamber of Commerce

The St. Louis CAPS Global Business and Entrepreneurship student associates work closely with the Affton Chamber of Commerce. In January, the student associates sponsored the Affton Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting and helped coordinate the meeting location, meal, program, and guest speaker. The student associates demonstrated their networking skills before, during and after the event with many of them securing leads for future internship opportunities. During the meeting there was a student associate at each table that helped facilitate an interactive activity and the guest speaker was Brandon Dempsey, co-founder of goBRANDgo! and St. Louis CAPS board of directors member.

The Affton Chamber of Commerce also provides a St. Louis CAPS student associate with an internship opportunity. Student associates interested in the internship opportunity interview with the chamber president. This school year their intern is Logan Phillips a senior at Affton High School. Logan will help coordinate the annual Affton Chamber of Commerce community and business expo hosted by Affton High School in April.
