The St. Louis CAPS Global Business and Entrepreneurship course provides an entrepreneurial approach to education that is designed to give high school students hands-on, real world experience in professional business settings. Students are fully immersed in a profession-based learning approach, and are able to gain experience working with local businesses, assisting and learning through meaningful projects, and networking with industry leaders.
Students have the ability to explore a variety of fields, including Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Public Relations, Operations/Management, Project Management, Event Planning, Nonprofit/Philanthropy, Supply Chain/Logistics, Legal, Customer Service, and Procurement. In addition to being a part of real businesses, students are also paired with mentors out in the career field that aligns with their personal interests. In addition to important profession-based learning skills the students acquire, they also gain 21st century skills such as problem solving, time and project management skills, business ethics, and self-discipline.
